Летом 1954 года Е.А. Чушкина, зная сноровку и выдумку мастерицы Е.И. Галочкиной, поручила ей разработать приспособление к оборотной ма- шине для вязания каймы. Два месяца колдовала мастерица – и добилась результата. Не один, а несколько ажурных узоров стали подвластны маши- не, управляемой настойчивой вязальщицей. По предложению комсомолки Е. Кургиной был разработан новый полумеханический способ вязания пу- хового платка с художественной каймой. Это повысило производительность труда в пять раз. Но вначале кайма вязалась без зубцов. Как выполнить вязание зубцов, придумала Е.И. Литвинова при активном участии технорука С.Л. Антипиной. Позднее Е.И. Литвинова освоила вяза- ние платка одновременно с серединой. In the summer of 1954 Ye. A. Chushkina entrusted Ye. I. Galochkina, a forewoman reputed for her expertise and inventiveness, with a task of devising an attachment to the flat-purl machine which would enable it to knit shawl borders. It took only two months for this master knitter to develop a device that would do just that. Now, not only one, but a number of different lace patterns could be produced by this machine in the hands of the expert knitters at this factory. As a result of another innovation proposed by a young worker, Ye. Kurgina, a newsemi-automatedway of knittingdowny shawlswithornamental borders was also developed. These two developments greatly improved overall operational efficiency. Initially, shawl edgings were knitted without points. The problem of machine knitting edging with points was solved by Ye. I. Litvinova, assisted by technician S. L. Antipina. Later, Ye. I.
